Building a school in Chidenguele
During the rainy season, lessons are regularly cancelled because stable school buildings are lacking. We are building a weatherproof classroom of 9 × 6 metres.

Why
In Chidenguele, Gaza Province, the primary school teaches some classes in buildings made of reeds. When it rains, lessons cannot take place there, and the disruption can last for weeks. During our visit in July 2024, we looked at the situation on the ground and discussed with the school and the village community what would really help.
The result is deliberately simple: a permanent classroom, built to the dimensions customary in the area, constructed with people from the village who will also use and maintain it afterwards.
